A new law this year has expanded the numbers of World War Two veterans that could be recognized by the state of Missouri for their service more than 50 years ago. The state’s recognition program is now open for spouses of deceased veterans to apply for the award as well. And the window to apply for the award is now open until July next year. The Missouri National Guard is the agency running the program. Those who think they might be eligible are encouraged to contact the State National Guard.
