Blues Center Doug Weight was injured all last season but was healthy coming into training camp. But he suffered a pelvic injury in the first pre season game. He returned to the ice yesterday for a light skate-around. He’s not expected to do anything too intense until the season opener on October 10th. Last season, Weight was hobbled by an abdominal strain for the better part of the 2001-2002 campaign. Goalie Fred Brathwaite who had a strained groin also returned to practice. The Blues are 3-2 in pre-season play. They’ll be in Detroit to face the Red Wings tonight.
