The Missouri Tigers will be without sophomore wide receiver Thomson Omboga for at least two weeks. He has a broken rib. Omboga is second on the team in receiving behind Justin Gage. Some good news was bestowed upon team yesterday. Corner back R.J. Jones won the Big 12’s defensive player of the week award after intercepting 3 passes against Troy St. on Saturday. It was quite an accomplishment for the senior from Palo Alto, California. He lost his starting job after a poor performance in Mizzou’s opener against Illinois. This Saturday the Tigers will be at home to face #3 Oklahoma. Jones is not expected to start but will be the top reserve in teh defensive backfield.
