Bankrupt Vanguard Airlines has rejected a takeover bid from a group led by the owner of the Hooter’s restaurant chain. A lawyer for Vanguard says the offer is inadequate. He says other investors have expressed some interest in the airline but admits prospects for Vanguard getting back into the air are limited. The deadline for other potential investors to put money on the table is October 3rd. Vanguard shut down July 31st.
