The State Supreme Court has set an October 23rd execution date for William R. Jones, a Kansas City man convicted in the January, 1986 shooting death of a man with whom he had had a homosexual relationship. Stanley Albert’s body was found wrapped in a blanket in a wooded area near Independence in early March of 1986. He had been shot five times in the neck and chest.
