Don’t tell the Cardinals that the final week of the season is meaningless. They’re still trying to get home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. They crushed the Diamondbacks 13-1 at Busch Stadium. Things were rather quiet until the seventh inning when St. Louis turned a 3-1 lead into a 13-1 lead. Eli Marrero had the biggest night for the Redbirds, going 4-6 with three RBI’s. Albert Pujols drove in two on Monday. He has 126 on the year and trails Lance Berkman for the league lead. Berkman has 128. Jamey Wright was the starter for St. Louis. He went 5 innings and got the win.
