Barry Hinson’s getting used to the word “yes”. He keeps hearing it over and over from recruits lately. Yesterday Sky Frazier, a 6-9 250 pound center gave the SMS basketball program a verbal commitment to play in Springfield next year. The St. Francis Borgia (Washington, Mo.) senior is the third recruit to commit to SMS in the last week and the fourth overall. Last week Deven Mitchell of Springfield Kickapoo chose the Bears and yesterday Neosho senior Tyler Chaney followed suit. Blake Ahearn of St. Louis DeSmet committed. Hinson is hoping to get thumbs up from 6-1 point guard Spencer Laurie who is Mitchell’s teammate at Kickapoo. Laurie’s also being courted by Minnesota and Mizzou. His cousin is Josh Kroenke who currently plays for MU.
