This is National Farm Safety and Health Week, and Missouri’s Director of Agriculture is reminding everyone to be on the lookout for equipment out on the roads, especially in areas where the harvest is underway. Lowell Mohler says while recent rains have kept some farmers out the fields, it can actually be a blessing because it lets farmers catch up. Mohler says he hopes the weather delays don’t make farmers rush once they are back in the fields. He adds the poor farm economy is not helping matters as many farmers have to take second jobs just to make ends meet and that adss to their fatigue factor.
