Bond Mulls Over Report On September 11th Intelligence Lapses

September 19, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A report out of Washington claims the U.S. intelligence community received several credible pieces of information of a likely terrorist attack prior to September 11th. Senator Bond says threats have been received for years but there was never any credible specific threat that brought together the various federal agencies that would investigate this kind of thing. Bond says despite the fact the information could not have prevented such an attack, changes could be made to improve the intelligence gathering capabilities of the intelligence community.
