Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil knows that this Sunday’s game will pose quite a challenge. His task? Beat the World Champion Patriots at their new stadium. But Vermeil is excited. At his press conference yesterday he said that he looks forward to the challenge of upsetting a team that has won 11 games in a row. Their woeful defense may get some help this weekend. Defensive tackle Eric Downing who’s had ankle problems may play on Sunday. He’ll begin practicing today. The Chiefs are 1-1 after losing to the Jaguars this past weekend.
