Seven weeks to go before Election Day and the main candidates in Missouri’s U.S. Senate race have yet to set a schedule for debates. Senator Jean Carnahan says she has put forward four possible venues and is waiting to see whether her Republican challenger, former St. Louis area Congressman Jim Talent, will accept. For his part, Talent says he is eager and willing to debate anywhere, but he wants to do it soon. He adds he wants to have debates in all regions of the state.
