A crackdown on foreign students due to the events of September 11th hasn’t seemed to stem the tide of foreign students to Missouri colleges. Washington University in St. Louis reports about the same number of foreign students as a year ago. The University of Missouri says the number of foreign students on the Columbia campus actually has increased. Other colleges report about the same numbers. Admission departments do say foreign students might have grown more without the stricter rules now in place for getting student visas.
