The Royals bats touched little more than afternoon air on Thursday afternoon in a 5-1 loss to the White Sox. The South-Siders held Kansas City to just three hits on Thursday. Mike Sweeney was 1-4, which dropped his American League Leading average to .340. Raul Ibanez hit a solo home run in the 2nd inning. Unfortunately he hurt his thumb and left the game after six innings. He leads the team with 99 RBI’s. The Royals face Detroit this weekend.
