A Missouri Congressman believes airport security measures have been improved since last year’s terrorist attacks, despite reports the same type of items used by the hijackers are still getting passed screeners. Some high-profile cases of box cutters and other possible weapons being smuggled onto airplanes by investigative reporters have raised some concerns. But, Northeast Missouri Congressman Kenny Hulshof says we must remember, it was just more than a year ago that only a small percentage of any baggage was screened at airports. And, Hulshof says the Congress is debating issues such as screeners and guns for pilots in the cockpits. Hulshof, who describes himself as a frequent flier, says he is still confident in the screening system.
