The Royals ended their losing streak at 8 games last night by topping the White Sox 9-6. Kansas City pounded St. Charles native Mark Buehrle, scoring 6 runs off 11 hits. Brandon Berger hit his 6th home run of the year to get the Royals on the board in the 2nd. The two-run shot was the 4th homer he’s hit off Buerhle in his career. Carlos Beltran hit his 25th of the year, Mike Sweeney hit his 23rd dinger. Sweeney was 1-3 keeping his league leading batting average at .341. At 9:11 the game was stopped with the Royals batting. Royals third baseman Joe Randa was at bat when it happened. Darrell May got the win improving to 4-9. It was his first victory in over a month. The Royals and White Sox wrap up their four-game series tonight in Kansas City.
