Ryan Porter is still SMS’ QB despite being banged up. He left after a hard hit in Saturday’s 28-26 upset of Hampton. Head Coach Randy Ball says Porter will start against Kansas on Saturday. His replacement, Michael White was 8-16 for 143 yards, tossing two touchdowns. Porter was knocked out of the game in the second quarter after a hard sack. The Bears are edging closer to the Top 25 in Division I-AA. They had the 27th highest point total after improving to 2-0.
