The Cardinals are winners of seven straight after topping the Brewers 8-3 in Milwaukee last night. Eduardo Perez provided the meat and potatoes of St. Louis’ 4-run rally in the fourth, hitting a three-run homer. It was his 10th of the season. Scott Rolen also went yard, hitting his 24th in the 9th inning. Matt Morris accumulated his 16th win of the season, lasting five innings allowing one run off five hits and two walks. It was his first start since going on the disabled list on August 24th. Also making his return was Jason Isringhausen who set the side down in order in the 9th. The Cardinals remain five and a half games in front of the Astros in the National League Central. St. Louis looks to sweep its second straight series with a win in Milwaukee tonight. Then they head to Houston for four games.
