The Kansas City School District and a bus company that serves it are being sued by parents of a five-year-old pupil who was returned to his bus stop instead of being taken to school. The lawsuit says the bus driver did not make sure the boy got off the bus at the school and instead took him to the bus stop near a daycare center. The lawsuit says the boy was left along on the street for 45 minutes before a stranger took him to the daycare center. The bus driver has been fired. The company says he stayed until he saw the child go into the center.
