The Cardinals fell one game short of a four-game sweep in Chicago, falling to the Cubs 5-4 on Sunday. Starter Chuck Finley allowed two runs in the eighth inning, as Chicago tied the game and took the lead. With the loss, Finley dropped to 5-4 since coming to St. Louis. Getting the start for the Cubs was former Redbird Alan Benes, who is the younger brother of Andy Benes. Despite the loss, the Cardinals have a four game lead over the Astros in the National League Central. They face the Reds this afternoon.
