Chiefs/Rams Make Cuts

September 2, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Trent Green’s options have officially been limited. The Chiefs put wide receiver Sylvester Morris on the injured reserve list, which means he will miss the 2002 season. Fellow wide receiver Snoop Minnis will be out for at least the first six weeks with a broken foot. Head coach Dick Vermeil made 22 cuts to get the roster down to 53 players. Former Missouri Tiger Dwayne Blakely was one of the players let go. Former Missouri Southern linebacker Richard Jordan was also cut, along with quarterback Joe Germaine. The Rams made six cuts, including Dane Looker who was the leading receiver in NFL Europe this season.
