The SMS Bears were 26-14 winners over Division II East Central University last night. The game certainly brought some frustration to the SMS faithful. The Bears blew a 13-0 first quarter lead. But they drove 64 yards late in the fourth quarter, scoring on Steve Ennis’ 2-yards touchdown run to take the lead with 1:20 to go. Moments later, Daryl Robinson intercepted a pass and ran 43 yards for another score to put it away. It was SMS’ first win in a season opener since 1993.
