Imagine a lottery that could make the Powerball jackpots seem puny. Lottery officials from 17 states and ten nations are talking about forming an international lottery. More states and nations have until the endof next month to join the planning group. Missouri’s lottery director, Jim Scroggins, says the talk is justpreliminary. He says a lot of logistical problems have to be overcome – such as differences in currencies, where the drawings will be held, and the problems of time zones and datelines. Scroggins advice: Don’t look for this thing anytime soon – if ever.
