The wait is finally over at Arrowhead. First round pick Ryan Sims and the Chiefs have agreed to a seven-year deal. No details were released but it’s believed to include a $10-million signing bonus. The defensive tackle from North Carolina says he had no intention of missing the entire season. The Chiefs will try to get a two-week practice exemption for Sims. If the NFL approves it he’ll be able to practice but won’t be eligible to play, though he won’t take up a roster spot. Three other first round picks remain unsigned around the league.
