Barry Hinson got some good news yesterday. He learned that 6-2 guard Blake Ahearn has verbally committed to the SMS basketball program. The St. Louis De Smet Senior averaged 17.7 points per game as a junior. In a related story, St.Louis University released its 2002-2003 schedule yesterday. They’ll face SMS this year. The Billikens will have 16 games against teams that went to the NCAA tournament last season. They’ll also travel to Tucson to face Arizona on December 3rd.
