Senator Bond says it’s inevitable we’ll go to war with Iraq, so we might as well get on with it. Bond says it would be a mistake to let Saddam Hussein get the first strike. He says President Bush should consult with Congress, but does not need congressional approval to attack. Bond is the leading Republican on the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee.
