Chiefs free safety Jerome Woods could be gone for the season. He broke his leg in Kansas City’s 17-14 loss to the Seahawks. 10-year veteran Jason Belser is expected to fill in while Woods is gone. Belser is a product of Raytown South High School. Woods’ absence will be painfully obvious in the Chiefs defensive backfield. He picked off three passes and made 87 tackles last season. He’s missed only one game since being drafted by the Chiefs in 1996 out of Memphis.
