The Cardinals acquired lefty Jeff Fasero in a waiver deal with the Cubs Sunday. St. Louis will send two minor leaguers to Chicago at a later date. Fasero, who is an 11 year veteran, has a mark of 5-6 this season with an ERA of 5.82. He led the Cubs with 56 appearances this season. The move was made as Mike Matthews and Matt Morris went down with injuries. Morris is expected to miss at least two starts after pulling a hamstring. Last season Morris led the team with 22 wins.
