The nation’s largest car-leasing company has settled a racial discrimination lawsuit with a $2.3 Million dollar deal. Enterprise Rent-A-Car, which is based in St. Louis County, will pay $575,000 to eight black employees and former employees who claimed they lost hiring and promotion opportunities to whites. The rest of the settlement will be set aside for black former employees, or blacks who applied for jobs from 1995 through 2001. More than one-half million will pay plaintiff’s lawyers.
