A Saline County judge says the county prosecutor has not proven a truck driver guilty of five counts of manslaughter. The trucker, John Kendrix, had been charged after his truck crossed an Interstate 70 median last year and hit an oncoming pick-up truck headon, killing the five people inside it. Prosecutor Don Stauffer differs with the judge’s interpretation of the law and the legislature’s intent in passing it. The judge has fined Kendrix $400 for failing to maintain accurate records.
