A group of eleven and twelve-year olds are making Missouri history. The Webb City Little League Baseball team is the first ever Show-Me representative in the Little League World Series. Normally, Webb City’s attention is on high school football this time of year. But the defending 4A State Champs are taking a back seat to head coach Craig Powell’s team for now. Webb City takes on Fort Worth,Texas tonight. Webb City enters the matchup with a 16-0 record. But the preparation for their run began long before any of us were even thinking about baseball. Their first practice was on January 1st at an inside facility.Tonight’s contest, along with their Saturday and Monday games, will be on ESPN. First pitch is at 6 o’clock.
