The State Board of Pharmacy has started disciplinary action against Kansas City pharmacist Robert Courtney, who already has agreed to give up his pharmacy license here and who is under a federal court order not to practice pharmacy in this country ever again. The Board of Pharmacy says he tampered with and diluted cancer-fighting drugs 161 times. A spokesman for the Board says the action is taken to get Courtney’s name into a national database that is used by other states. Courtney is in custody awaiting sentencing for a term of 17 to 30 years in prison.
