A judge has ordered DNA testing for a man in prison for 16 years for rape and robbery. The victim of the crime is a deaf woman. The judge in St. Louis has ordered the tests for Kenneth Charron at the urging of the Innocence Project, the group that got DNA tests for prisonerLarry Johnson. Johnson was freed when the tests showed he did not rape a woman in 1984. The St. Louis prosecutor opposes the effort and says she is appealing the judge’s order.
