August 12, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri will be represented in this year’s Little League World Series. Webb City topped Des Moines, Iowa 2-1 to win the Midwest Regional in Indianapolis yesterday. Webb City clinched the win with Caleb Powell’s RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning. They’ll be one of 16 teams worldwide who will vie for the title in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Webb City will take on Waco, Texas on Friday night at 6 o’clock local time. On Saturday they’ll take on a team from New England and on Monday they face the Southwestern representative. All three games will be seen on ESPN.
