The Royals topped the Devil Rays 10-0 at Kauffman Stadium on Sunday. The Royals won two of three from Tampa Bay over the weekend. Aaron Guiel and Joe Randa hit home runs in the first inning to give Runelvys Hernandez a 4-0 lead. Hernandez lasted five innings, leaving the game with a one-hitter with a “tired arm”. Three relievers platooned for a two-hitter on the day. Michael Tucker and Carlos Febles also went deep. Febles’ performance on Sunday wasn’t enough to keep him in Kansas City. He was sent down to Triple-A Omaha. Mike Sweeney will re-join the team tomorrow as the Yankees come to town. Sweeney’s been on the disabled list for a month with hip and back pain.
