Cards Hall Of Famer Slaughter Dies At 86

St. Louis Cardinal Hall of Famer, Enos “Country” Slaughter has died at the age of 86. He hit .300 in his 19-year career in the Baseball’s Major Leagues. Thirteen of those Big League seasons were spent with the Redbirds. Slaughter was on four World Champion teams in his career. Slaughter had been in the intensive care unit after underoing colon surgery and a procedure to repair complications from ulcers on July 25 and July 29. He was 86.
