The annual Sporting News ranking of the best sports cities in America has been released. St. Louis, who came in first in 1999, checked in at 13th. Kansas City was named the 41st best sports city in the land. Columbia had the next highest Show-Me ranking at 77th, Springfield was 163rd and Cape Girardeau was 257th. Boston was named the best sports city in America.
