Jeff Suppan’s slow start, and Roger Clemens fast start led to a 6-2 Royal loss. Suppan gave up four Yankee runs in the first inning putting him in an early hole. Clemens held the Royals to just six hits over seven innings. The Royals only tallies of the evening were in the sixth inning. Chuck Knoblach singled in Carlos Febles and Aaron Guiel doubled in Knoblach. The inning ended with grounders from Carlos Beltran and Raul Ibanez. Suppan dropped to 8-11 with the loss. Clemens improved to 9-3 in his return from the disabled list. The final game of the series is tonight at 6:05 at Yankee Stadium.
