Evidence of the West Nile virus has been found in Laclede County. A dead bird has been found with the disease. The death of a horse in Cole County has been attributed to the West Nile virus. Six other horses in the county have been tested. Results aren’t back yet. No people have been found infected with the virus in Missouri.
