The Royals lost their sixth game in a row in a 5-4 loss to the Twins in 10 innings. Kansas City held a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the ninth when disaster struck. Neifi Perez threw wildly to first base on Jacque Jones’ grounder. That allowed a run to score to tie it at four apiece. Then with the bases loaded and one out in the tenth, Corey Koskie grounded to first. Chan Perry dove for the ball and landed on the bag for the second out, then his throw home to try to get Tori Hunter hit Koskie in the chest and the game was over. Koskie was taken to the hospital, but was OK. Kasnas City has now dropped 12 of 13.
