The Cardinals were held to just four hits last night in a 4-0 loss to the Marlins. Florida starter A.J. Burnett went the distance for the complete game shut out, striking out seven and walking three. Cardinal starter Chuck Finley went seven innings and allowed just three runs off six hits, dropping to 2-1 since coming over to the Cardinals. One highlight for St. Louis included a triple play in the 6th inning. St Louis’ lead in the N.L. Central was cut to four games as the Reds topped the Dodgers in extra innings.
