The Royals six game losing streak came to an end on Monday, thanks in large part to Paul Byrd. The Royals starter notched his fourth straight complete game as Kansas City topped Toronto 4-1. He got offensive help from CarlosBeltran who went 1-3 and drove in two runs with a sac fly and a two-run homer. Defensively, Michael Tucker made an over the shoulder catch in the third inning to save a run. Byrd’s now 14-7 on the year. Many wonder if this will be his last win as a Royal. The trade deadline is at 3pm tomorrow.
