Mallory Breeden is making it look a little too easy. The 15-year old student of Poplar Bluff High School began pole vaulting this year. In her first season, she set three school records and then set her sights on winning gold at the Show-Me State Games. With her vault of 9’0″, she grabbed the first of what she hopes will be many gold medals in the state competition. But she has more than Show-Me State Games championships on her agenda. Mallory’s next goal is to break the state record of 12’1″. To do so, she’s enlisted the help of three-time Olympain pole vaulter Earl Bell as her personal coach. Her competition better look out, she’s only going to get better!
