Missouri’s tax scofflaws are being given a last chance to get right with the State Revenue Department. If you owe back taxes of any kind to the state, you are being givenninety days to pay up. No penalties. All will be forgiven unless you’ve already been sued. If you’re already in court with the Revenue Department, you’ve already blown your chance to be forgiven. Department Spokesman Suzanne Medley, says the 90-day window opens this Thursday. And, does the department expect a big payoff to playing nice guy? Well, not really. The Department says it is owed about $1-Billion, but it expects to get only $15-million to $20-Million. That’s only about one-and-a-half to two-percent of what’s owed.
