Royals Drop Sixth Straight

July 29, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Royals fell for the sixth straight time with a 4-2 loss to the White Sox on Sunday. Kansas City blew a lead in the process. Luis Alicea and Raul Ibanez drove in runs in the 3rd inning to give the Royals a 2-1 lead. But Carlos Lee tied it at two-all with an RBI in the bottom half of the inning. Willie Harris’ sacrifice fly in the 4th made it 3-2 and Chicago never relinquished the lead. Jeff Suppan dropped to 8-9, allowing three runs on Sunday. The Royals face the Blue Jays at home tonight and that’s certainly a welcomed relief. They lost all six games away from Kauffman.
