DNA evidence has been used to tie a man convicted of robbery in Greene County to two rapes in Kansas City in 1999. The DNA from Andre Davis, which was put into the state’s database after his conviction in Springfield, matches samples taken from the two Kansas City victims. The Jackson County prosecutor has filed 20 charges against Davis. Investigators are checking to see if he might be linked to a series of break-ins and rapes in Kansas City between 1996 and 2000.
