J.D. Drew drove in all four Cardinal runs as St. Louis beat San Francisco 4-3. Drew gave the Birds at 1-0 lead with an RBI single. In the sixth, Drew got the Cardinals out of a 2-1 hole with a three-run homer, his 14th of the season. Travis Smith allowed three runs over seven innings for his to improve to 4-1 on the season. Closer Jason Isringhausen worked a perfect ninth inning to grab his 24th save of the year.
