Anthrax Scare Lands Man In Trouble

An anthrax prank brings a man probation for a year and a requirement that he do 20 hours of community service. The prank, played at the General Motors plant in Wentzville, involved powdered sweetener placed inside the newspaper of another employee. Melvin Hill had prepared the newspaper, but another worker picked up the newspaperand triggered the investigation. Hill has been convicted of attempted assault.
