The economy might be soft throughout the state, but it’s going great guns in Branson. The latest numbers reported from Missouri’s tourism mecca show a nine-and-a-half percent increase in money generated from the tourism tax over last year. A strong winter helped boost the number, but crowds have continued to be strong for Branson’s live shows and other attractions throughout this summer.
