No human cases of West Nile virus have been reported in Missouri, but three crows found recently in the St. Louis area have been discovered to have had the virus. Two of the crows were found in Missouri, the third just across the stateline in Illinois. Health officials say Missourians don’t need to be too alarmed. The risks are low the virus would spread to humans. They do advise doingwhatever you can to ward off mosquitoes – applying repellent, wearing long-sleeve shirts and removing stagnant water.
