Clutch hitting was in abundance for the Cardinals in the 6th inning yesterday. J.D. Drew drove in a run with a two-out double to give St. Louis a 2-1 lead over the Giants. Later in the frame, Mike DiFelice drove in two runs with a single. The Birds went on to win 5-1. Matt Morris pitched eight innings to record his 11th win of the season. St. Louis remained three and a half games ahead of 2nd place Cincinnati who topped Pittsburgh on Thursday.
